I sometimes think God holds Zimbabwe's people close to his heart. For there isn't any other ready explanation for their openess to us as foreigners, their spirtualiy, and their good positive attitude in the face of the difficulties they encounter on a daily basis. I was afraid that since this was my third time I might not feel the same impact as on previous trips, but in fact as near the end of the first week I find I am moved even more by the children we see than before.
I miss my wife, Sandy and want to send her my love.

I am thankful and relieved your efforts are going well, at least as planned. It is humbling to realize the extreme differences in our lives on this side of the world vs. what these kids must endure every day. I am thinking of and praying for you all often, for your sucess and your safe return home. Take care of my best girl! I worry about her the most.
